About PICCSThe Partnership for Innovation in Compensation for Charter Schools (PICCS) is a comprehensive program designed to recruit, retain, develop and reward top quality teachers and school leaders at charter schools. Led by the Center for Educational Innovation - Public Education Association (CEI-PEA), PICCS is funded through federal grants from the Teacher Incentive Fund program, which supports development of performance-based compensation systems to drive increases in student performance. Twenty-two public charter schools, located in New York City and Buffalo, form the PICCS partnership.School Resources Access Select Resources for Charter Schools: The New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards and accompanying resources are provided as full documents and as excerpts per grade level. Links to samples of instructional units and student work are also provided.
Job OpeningPICCS Data Engineer and Technical Support PICCS is searching to hire a Data Engineer and Technical Support staff person. The position requires a person with an entrepreneurial spirit to work on a large Federally-funded project developing payment incentives for teachers in 15 charter schools under the U.S. Education Department's Teacher Incentive Fund. During an initial project, a powerful integrated warehouse was developed for a variety of uses by schools and teachers.
